I locked steering wheel on honda pilot now I can't unlock wheel or get key to turn?
Turn the wheel SLIGHTLY but very firmly in the direction that you turned it to lock it (the same direction not opposite). Then have someone else gently turn the key while you're holding the wheel.
Usually what happens is the steering wheel needs to have slight pressure put on it one way or the other while turning the key.
Pull the steering wheel to the side to relieve pressure off the lock pin, then turn the key.
If you can't jiggle the steering wheel and turn the key you need a mechanic.

What happens is that if the wheels are causing the steering column stress in one direction or the other, the locking mechanism is gripped too hard for you to unlock. You need to wiggle the steering wheel a little as much as it can go, then you will feel that the locking mechanism will permit you to turn the key to unlock the steering column.
Tap the break pedal and turn the steering wheel at the same time.
Turn the steering wheel hard left then turn the key. Works on most vehicles, just the way they are built.
- HONDA PCX IGNITION KEY SHUTTER LOCKED OUT? I accidentally closed the shutter of my honda pcx 150. I don't have anymore the original key I lost last month. I tried with the copy key may times but of course the magnets were not placed at all in the blank key. i have called also HONDA and they told me to call AAA or a locksmith. The locksmiths i have called they say no we can't do that. What are my options?
- Does power steering fluid get hot if the car is just running and the steering isn't being used? If the pump is just spinning, recirculating fluid and nothing else… Would it still get hot? I had to bypass the pump from the rack and have the fluid recirculate. Would the pump get hot from just spinning? I know 8th gen Honda's don't have a cooler for the power steering anyways.
- Spare key doesn't work to unlock door electronically? I'm new to cars and my mom allowed me to borrow hers for the next two months while she's out of town. The thing is, she gave me her spare key, and the alarm won't work. The physical key unlocks the car, but I can't unlock/ lock it remotely. Any advice? The model is a Honda CRV
- Left outer tie rod end is replaced and now my steering wheel is off? In order to drive straight the top of the wheel is pointing between the 12 and the 11 and that is when there's no space between the outer tie rod end and the nut should i create some space between them? 2000 honda civic dx
