Removing baffles from 1986 honda manga 700/750 advice?
Trying to get some advice on how to do, what will it affect, and will i have to do do anything else to the carburetor/ anything?
Heres a better idea, remove the baffles, cut them in half and put them back in. Nice sound, it is louder and you won't have to mess with the jetting.
To summarize, when you increase 'flow' by opening up the exhaust it means more air passes through the engine… There's no way to guess how much you will increase air flow, but it will usually take a corresponding increase in fuel delivery, ie 'jetting up' to keep the mixture correct. You may or may not be able to get away with running 'leaner' but it increases engine and exhaust temps and can potentially damage the engine.
