This Latest Honda Recall Concerns Me. Do Toyotas Have the Same Problem?

I love my Camry and would hope nothing's wrong with it

You worry too much. That's usually a sign of ignorance. The new recall is about airbags. It has nothing to do with the reliability or driveability of the car.

Depending on the year, the airbag could be bad, but they will contact you if it is.

Yeah. We all got screwed with that Takata recall. And since they are the ones that make the airbags, won't be long before more cars are on recall.

  • Why do used Hondas and Toyotas have double the mileage of GM, Ford & Chrysler? Shopping for used car and noticed Hondas and Toyotas typically have 200k or more miles while Big 3 only have 100k for the same price.
  • Paying for Honda Loaner Car From Dealership while Paint Recall is Being Fixed? I'm going to be paying $33/day for (1 to 2 weeks) for a loaner car from my honda dealership while its away in the shop. Is there any flexibility in picking what car I want or do they automatically assign me a car. I feel like since i'm paying i should be able to pick what car I want, or even pay a little more for something nicer?
  • Overheating Concerns? I have an 1996 Honda CBR600F3. After riding for a while and sitting Idled in traffic the temperature gauge rises to slowly to the mid hot point. However after I began riding again and shifting through the gears at high speeds. The temperature gauge begins to slowly lower back down to cool. But while sitting idled the bike seems to start overheating and the fans kicks on every time. Any suggestions as to why it seems to start overheating while sitting Idled.
  • How Cadillacs, Mercedes, BMWs cost more than Toyotas and Hondas What exactly are you getting for that extra money? I mean, you can get a Toyota that has leather seats, shaded windows, climate controls, and it would still cost less than a Cadillac XTS. What exactly are you getting for the extra money? Is it just the style you're paying for?
