What does the k o stand for on my 1975 honda xl250 motosport enduro ko? - 1
It doesn't "stand" for anything. It is merely the model designation.
The KO was the first incarnation of the XL-250, available in 1972. This was followed in 1974 by the K1. The K2 appeared in 1975 and the K3 variant came out in 1976. The final version on the original XL-250, the K4, ran from 1977 to 1979.
This all means that you can't have a 1975 XL-250KO, unless your bike has been built up from parts.
If it's a KO, the frame number will start with XL250-1000049 and the engine number will start with SL250E-1000001.
If it's a 1975 K2 model, the engine number will start with XL250-3000001.
First year of that model. K 0 Then K 1, ect.
Honda was sued back in those days because they didn't have specific model years. I remember seeing SL175 models manufactured in 1973 being titled as 1976 models.
- What exhaust for a 1975 Honda CB200? The left side muffler rusted through and has a massive hole in it. I would like to have a stock muffler but I can't seem to find an OEM muffler for the life of me. What aftermarket exhaust (if any) can i put on without having to re-jet the carb? Or where can I find a used OEM left muffler? Both stock downpipes are perfect as well as the right muffler. Any help is appreciated
- Wanted: gas tank for a 1972 Honda XL250? I've searched online for hours and can't find a tank. If anyone has any leads on where to find one, or where to look, I would sure appreciate the help.
- I want a enduro dual sport but I'm having seat height issues? I want to buy a dual sport and I was looking at a honda crf250l because of the reliability and ratings and longetivity. The only problem with it is the seat height is 34.7 inches and it's too tall. My height needed is about 32.9 inches. Does anyone have any suggestions?
- How to mount a centre stand on a 99 honda transalp? I'm trying to mount a centre stand on a honda transalp from 1999. Problem is that I can't find out where I should mount the springs. Where should the springs be hooked on to the frame? The bike is imported from germany, so I'm asssuming it's a EU model.
