What's a good stick shift car for a start up car?

Ok, so it's time for me to start up and I want a car that helps me save money on I was thinking of a Honda or a Subaru. Can you guys please help me with a starting car?

Any hydollic clutched, 4 cylinder manual.

Honda (Civic). They are bulletproof cars and very cheap to maintain. Manual models are abundant
Subaru cars are a bit pricey, but good as well

I don't recommend stick **** for first car unless you have money to put new clutch in regularly go with automatic.

An ef, eg, ek civic is your best bet, a subie would be a bit expensive unless you find a GC Impreza or a BG liberty/legacy wagon. Honda transmissions are easy to find and to rebuild. If you find a subie you will most likely find a non turbo Impreza, legacy/liberty. The turbo subies are more fun but use much more gas.

  • Should I save up for car or stick with truck? Okay my family has 3 trucks, they gave me one that's usally sitting around. Excellent condition. Toyota tacoma 2003 4x4 with sr5. Only thing I hate is the mpg. I have a part time job and in high school as a sophomore. Should I start to save up for a car (mazda, scion, honda) with much better mpg or just stick with the truck? It gets about 15 mpg. I was looking to get a a car around 5k.
  • Do you think it would be funny to stick a honda badge on a BMW e46 and put VTEC Turbo on the back? Do you think it would be funny to stick a honda badge on a BMW e46 and put "VTEC Turbo" on the back?
  • Stick shift or automatic? Ok so I'm getting a 2006 Honda Civic and I'm planing on racing. I'm gonna customize it and everything but I was wondering. Should I get stickshift or automatic. I know that stick is best for racing but I have heard so many bad things about stick like when your stuck in traffic. How long does it take to learn and get used to it. Also I don't have a car to practice stick on so that sucks.
  • How to turn an automatic car to a stick shift? So I have a 2001 Honda accord and it is an automatic car. My friend has a stick and it is so much more fun to drive. I know there's a way to do this but I heard it can get into the thousands of dollars, I want a cheap way to do it. If there's a way where can it be done. If it is not possible to do cheap how can I make my car sound louder. Please give a lot of info. Also where can I buy a good cheap car.
