What's wrong with my car's brake pedal?

I noticed something a week after I bought this used Honda car (the dealer I trust a lot).

It only happens when I'm driving very slow on a side street, when stopping at a stop sign…

When I push down on the pedal, the pedal goes down but I hear and feel a slight click before I push it all the way down. So it happens halfway as I'm pressing on the brake. It stops perfect and no break issues. Any ideas what this is?

That sounds like the ABS. You might want to go get that checked out.

  • Why is my clutch pedal staying on the floor and doesn't spring back up? I have a 92 Honda Prelude Si and I just changed the clutch on it. But now my clutch pedal has no pressure, I'll press the pedal and the pedal will stay down but won't spring back up at all. I already changed the Slave Cylinder. What's going on?
  • Is a squeaking noise when you let off the brake pedal in your car a serious problem? Whenever I let off the brake pedal in my Honda, I hear a squeak noise. Is this something that likely just needs to be lubricated/cleaned on the brake mechanism, or is it signs of a more serious problem? It is not the brake pads; those have been replaced recently. Is this something I need fixed As soon as possible, (possible brake failure) or is it something that just simple (not serious ) maintenance?
  • Why does my gas pedal feel heavier? I have a 1999 honda civic si and i noticed sometimes when i'm driving it on some days that my gas pedal feels a bit heavier and has a little resistance and my car does not accelerate quickly like it used to when this happens. What may be the cause?
  • RPM of car increases really fast, barely pressing the gas pedal? I drive a 2008 Honda civic ex and I noticed that when I press the gas pedal lightly the tachometer increases really fast like up to 2000-3000 rpm and the car is not even going 50 mph. Is it normal for the rpm of the car to go really high when I barely press the gas pedal? My car has about 60,000 miles on it if it helps and I have had no issues with it since I bought it.
