Most likely, it's programmed into the ECU. It won't be a mechanical device you can take off and throw away I'm assuming.
A rev limiter is there for a very good reason. It prevents engine destruction from running the engine at wide open throttle all day long at dangerously high revs.
In the ecu.
- Why does my honda odyssey rev up by itself in park? The "D" (drive) light flashes sometimes too, and I coded it and this came up "P1740"
- Why has my Honda VTX 1300 Motorcycle been overheating ever since I laid it down? I changed the coolant, cleaned the air filter and got a new thermostat but still over heats if I'm sitting at every red light. Will start up after it cools down but always over heats when I idle too long. Any ideas?
- Can't find a right rear turn signal Honda VTX 1800 N (Picture)? This is the one i need http://www.ebay.com/...1310192920 The bike has been very customized and i'm not even sure if these are custom, but i can't find them.
