Why has my Honda VTX 1300 Motorcycle been overheating ever since I laid it down?
I changed the coolant, cleaned the air filter and got a new thermostat but still over heats if I'm sitting at every red light. Will start up after it cools down but always over heats when I idle too long. Any ideas?
Check the cooling fan relays and fuses. Also make certain that the radiator is completely full of coolant. The cooling fan should come on to cool the radiator when the bike sits at a stop
Perhaps one of the coolant lines sustained damage.
Have you checked the coolant level? There may have been an air bubble in the cooling system when you changed the coolant.
Did you lay it down on the water-pump side? Damage to the case? Have you checked coolant flow?
Is your fan turning on? Might want to check that the fan, wiring or temp switch weren't damaged.
Especially if at idle is your problem, I think your fan isn't working.

- What damage could've been caused from my honda nsr125 overheating? Started overheating so pulled over to stop and coolant has leaked out. Would it be a leak thats caused it as yesterday drove fine no problem but just concerned about any damage thats been caused

- What happened to Japanese cruiser motorcycles? Why were they all discontinued? Gone since 2009? Seems like V start, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki all dropped all their bikes of 1400cc-1600cc since 2009. Harley Davidson Dyna and Softail are 1600cc so there only comp is?
- If you road the Honda vtx 1300 or 1800 back in 2009 what do you ride now? - 1 What would be a modern comparison to the vtx? Has to be a cruiser. Has to be a bagger. Has to have comfortable two up riding. Has to be bellow Harley price preferably a good bit bellow.
