Drilled and slotted rotors for an every day driver worth it?

I have a 2000 Honda Accord SE. It needs new front rotors pretty badly and I'm debating between the cheap Pep Boys generic rotors or the next step up which is a slotted and drilled high carbon rotor.

For an every day conservative driver, is there any point in spending the extra $$

Not worth the money for a daily driver

An absolute waste of money and totally unnecessary on an Accord.

Unless you're participating in road racing it's a waste.

Money down the toilet.

Go regular,… Good quality,… Rotors

Stock will work best.

None at all. Go with the generic.

You'd also need to change out the pads for best results, which will cost you even more. Don't bother.

The slotting and drilling won't do anything to help but if they really are higher carbon or better steel they may last a little longer or resist warping a little better. The really cheap Chinese rotors are pure junk, if you choose these make sure you clean them really well and torque your wheel nuts evenly by hand, this helps to prevent warping and the cheap rotors are prone to it. Replace the pads for sure when you do them, just plain silly not to.
I prefer a slightly higher priced domestic rotor but they are hard to find now, China has taken over.

It's like wearing jewelry. Is there a purpose? No, just a look. I think that you have too much money.

High carbon cast iron? I've been a metal machinist, and that sounds humorous. It's like saying "alloy", lol!

Get OEM or equivalent rotors, and good pads. Put your money in your stopping ability.
