I have a Honda Accord 92. With new battery and starter. Still won't turn on?
So when my car stopped turning on I hit the starter a couple of times like my dad told me and it started. After a while this stopped working. I changed the starter myself. And it still wouldn't start. Only made a buzzing sound. My dad told everyone it was the battery so he bought a new one and we put it in. It did the same thing. I'm 17 years old. My dad said I needed to fix it. Trying to teach me to be responsible with my things.
The starter is not pulling in for some reason. Pull the starter. See if the fly wheel has teeth. If it does take the starter back and tell them to test it. The new starter may be bad. Not the first time this has happened.
When you turn the key to start the car, does it make a "whirring" noise like a coughing sound? Or does it make a "click, click, click" sound? If you have the "whirring" sound, it's definitely a battery issue. Either way, it looks like you will need a new car soon. You can try to get someone from a local repair shop just to take a look under the hood and listen to the noise and they can offer suggestions better than me.
- Motorcycle starter over heated starter and only the solenoid clicked so i rebuilt the starter n tested it with a battery n it worked fine? Put it back in bike and again only the solenoid clicks… Is there a fuse for the starter or a relay i may have blown? 1988 honda hurricaine 1000F i'm ready to hang it up but the bike runs so good when it runs. i ran out of gas n kept trying to start it till battery was dead and that is how it got this way. Please and thank-you starter works fine when hooked up to a battery off the bike. what gives?

- I have a Honda GSV 190 mower engine with a broken starter rope and stud stuck in starter that I can't remove. Any ideas would be great When removing the nuts holding the recoil starter in place the nut on the front of the starter is stuck. When I try to remove it the whole stud come out of the engine. Leaving the engine cover stuck to the starter preventing me from replacing the rope. I have tried everything I can think of to remove it with no luck. Heres what it looks like. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/bolt-stud-h425mm-p-554740.html
