Can I drive my 2013 Honda Civic on 0% oil life?
0% oil life warning came on today on my 2013 honda civic. I won't be able to do another oil change until late next week (around Friday). Will my car like die down if I don't get my oil changed?
How long can I drive my car for on 0% oil? This won't be my first time doing an oil change but my second.
Added (1). Forgot to mention current mileage is around 23000 miles.
Your fine
Most of those warning lights are simplely based on the time/mileage since the last oil change. They have no way of telling if the actual oil itself is good or bad. So, as long as the dipstick says you have the right level of oil in the engine, a couple hundred miles isn't going to hurt anything.
You can drive another week, as long as it doesn't add up to like a thousand miles.
50-100 miles is not bad.
Don't put it off longer than that, or you're risking a voided warranty, and that will come back to bite you if there are ever any mechanical problems ahead.
You will be fine
- Got a car, no life and wanna drive away to somewhere new and start a new life but how? I'm older, my parents are getting elderly. My sibling is in rehab and my family onlycares about him. I have no friends, no kids and i'm tired of living in my state for 35 years. Seeing the same ppl, same buildings, ugh. I just bought a new honda and honestly i just wanna get in my car and go. I have no money tho and only have a associate degree. What should i do? Apply to a college out of state? Just leave?
- Oil Change: Honda Motor Oil Vs Generic oil, does it make a difference? I have been getting oil changes with Honda motor oil for 15 years on my 2002 civic that now has 132K miles. If I switch to a generic $10 oil change garage shop will it still be ok? I know the Honda filters are better then the cheapest generic ones but how about the actual motor oil?
- I drive a 2013 Honda civic is making humming/winding noise? Noise occurs upon acceleration and deceleration. The pitch coincided with the speed of the car. Not necessarily the throttle. Car seems to shift just fine. Slight vibration in the pedals. No jumping or sputtering. It does however seem to come from the front of the car. Any thoughts?
- How far will 15% oil get me on my 2013 Honda Civic? The oil life in my car is at 15% right now, but I have a trip this week and I wanted to see if I could put off the oil change until I got home. If I would be okay going about 550 miles that would be fine. Just a standard 2013 Civic Sedan.
