I have a 97 honda civic i bought it with no cat just straight piped its a 1.6 non v-tec 4cyl?
I feel like i get bad gas mileage so if i put one back on should i get better
YES. I would recommend that you install a cat/ o2 sensor if it doesn't already and a muffler and you will see way better mpg's. Only go stock size pipe or one size bigger than that. Many honda people think if they put on a 3" exhaust or straight pipe it like your case, itll be quicker but that is % 100 wrong. 4 cyl motors need some back pressure to get the most out of the exhaust system, nox, and what it was intended for.
- Does the honda 600rr have its transmission in its engine? I bought a used honda 600 and it has a transmission problem. I went to a repair shop and he said they can't fix it because they have to completely disassemble the engine and that is a mess. Is it true and did he just say that because he doesn't want to do it?
- What will waste more gas, Clogged Cat or Non Cat converter? Does a Honda civic waste more gas if the catalytic converter is clogged or a civic without a catalytic converter (pipe only)? Or what?
- I just bought a 1996 Honda Civic manual with around 180000kms on it. There's a bit of water dripping out of exhaust when car is stationary? There's no water in oil I just changed it and it was pretty clean. And coolant was low but is fine now. No smoke either and car is sitting halfway on temperature gauge please help?
