What is wrong with my car?

I have a 1991 Honda civic, I just topped off the oil the battery and alternator are new.
My car recently started to make a bad spudder sound and it doesn't have the power it used to. Sometimes when I put it in first and take off it lags and takes a while for it to get speed. It feels like it's hesitating, it will give me power then feel like it's gonna stall then give power again.
I have also noticed a bad smell coming from my heater when I use it which is new, and when I brake my heater will blow slower and my lights will dim. That's about as in detail I can get please help!

This car has a computer I believe. The check engine light should be on. If so, have the code's stored there read by Autozone or equivalent. The interpretation of the code would give you a clue if there's a code.

Gee, how many miles does it have? It's only 23 years old, what do you expect. There could be a few vacuum leaks, bad EGR valve, and a ton of other problems.

When was the last time you had the spark plugs AND spark plug wires replaced?

"when I brake my heater will blow slower and my lights will dim"

I wasn't going to chime in on this because I'm not a honda guy but that caught my eye.
You also state that you recently had the battery and alternator replaced. Odd that they would be replaced at the same time. Your comment about the brakes caught my eye because per your description there's an electrical issue. Maybe not the root of all your issues but certainly an issue.

I would do a voltage check on your charging system, including charge voltage, resistance checks on the bat pos to alternator, bat neg to ground, and ground to alternator case. I suspect there's a bad connection in there that resulted in you replacing your battery, Alternator, and maybe even a run-ability issue.

  • What's wrong with my car's brake pedal? I noticed something a week after I bought this used Honda car (the dealer I trust a lot). It only happens when I'm driving very slow on a side street, when stopping at a stop sign… When I push down on the pedal, the pedal goes down but I hear and feel a slight click before I push it all the way down. So it happens halfway as I'm pressing on the brake. It stops perfect and no break issues. Any ideas what this is?
  • What's wrong with my car? I have an automatic honda accord 92. It just today like maybe 30 minutes ago started making this sound. It's when I change gears from park to reverse. Or park to drive. Or whatever gear. It sounds like the transmission is slapping the engine. It sounds like it is about to break. I've heard it's I need transmission fluid. What could this be?
  • What is wrong with my car? The 'S' light is on? My 91 Honda Accord has the 'S' light on and it is in a constant rev between 3 and 4, I drive the car in D4 gear, if I drive it like a stick and start in gear 1 the rev will go down when i switch to gear 2 but not when i switch to gear 3 or 4
  • What is wrong with my car's brakes? When I was driving my car today, I noticed that I was having trouble stopping. The car doesn't brake at all until the pedal is to the floor. The brakes seemed a little "soft" yesterday, but I didn't think anything of it. They were perfectly fine 2 days ago. I drive a 2000 Honda Accord with 2 disc and 2 drum brakes. I had my tires rotated 3 days ago. Could something have happened then?
