What happen if o put a car battery of s different car?

For example I have a Honda CR-V 2004 and what happen if I put a Acura mdx 2008 v6 battery?

1. Make sure the battery fits, is not too tall, and is fastened in place with the mounting hardware.

2. Make sure the proper polarity is observed. The battery has a positive (+) post and a negative (-) post. Sometimes they are switched around from one battery to another. The battery cable that goes to the engine block, which should be BLACK color, connects to the battery negative (-) post. The battery cable that goes to the starter, which should be RED color, connects to the battery positive (+) post.

Many times I have seen the wrong color cable.

The positive battery post is larger in diameter, FYI. So if the terminal is very loose or too tight, have another look and make sure the right cable goes on the right battery post.
