Is there a difference in ride quality or reliability?
Harley!
Harley
Which Harley model are you comparing to the Honda Shadow? The most obvious direct competitor is the Sportster but that is something you have to specify in your question.
Honda all day long every day
The Honda will still be running when Texas bans high school football.

The resale on the HD will be higher.
The Honda will be more reliable, smoother and more comfortable, with better brakes and handling.
The Harley will hold its value better, it will be easier to customise and it will be regarded as "cooler".

- What is the difference between a 2003 honda shadow 600 and 650? What are the differences between a 2003 honda shadow 600 and 650, I can't find any info anywhere! - Is a Honda Shadow VLX Deluxe a good beginners bike? Looking at a 2005 Shadow VLX Deluxe 600cc for my first bike. I'm 6' 1'' 190lbs. Just don't want to go too small and have to upgrade to soon, but don't want to die either. Don't need anything with crazy power or speed, just getting around town and some cruising.
