What to do if you overfill transmission fluid in a Honda odyssey van?

Drain it out

You drain some out.

If you don't want to drop the transmission pan you will have to buy or rent a fluid pump to remove the excess.

Drain it. Not hard depending on the year using a 3/8 ratchet placed into the transmission drain plug remove the plug and normally about 4 quarts of fluid will be removed. If you didn't add to much to it you can drive it for a bit a few days to allow the new fluid to enter the torque converter and the cooler. Thus the old fluid will be in the pan. Honda recommends you do a three times drain and fill every 36k miles or so. Basically the process you have done almost so far. You don't flush Honda transmissions just drain fill with new drive then drain fill drive drain and fill by the third fill you should only really see a pretty red color or maybe a bit darker than new some may go as far as four fills but a 6 bucks a quart and 25 bucks a drain and fill it may be over kill. So go buy four quarts of fluid and start the process.
