What transmission fluid is required for Honda vehicles?
Either ATF DW-1 or AFT-Z1 depending on the year and model of your Honda. Look at your owner's manual to find out.
Must be Honda compatible if not you will come down with shifting problems
Good answers from bo and g if it is automatic. If manual Honda MTL is the proper stuff. In the old days 30W motor oil was often used, but starting with API-SM oil the ZDDP was reduced too much for safe use in gear boxes. SN is even worse. Note: ATF-Z1 may be hard to find and you will have to use DW-1.
