2002 Honda Accord EX coupe with mysterious misfiring cylinders?
I own an '02 honda accord ex coupe. Its a 6 cylinder. The problem I'm having is that my first TWO cylinders are misfiring and I can't figure out why. Its not the spark plugs or coils cuz I've changed those. I also cleaned my purge valve and that didn't help either. Someone told me that one of my camshaft sensors could be bad but the guy at Autozone said that if it was my camshaft sensors, my car wouldnt start, which it does. My car runs and drives okay but its eating thru gas and isn't as powerful as it should be because of the misfires. Anyone that really knows hondas that could take a guess at what might be wrong?
Check the compression, if it's good you either have a vacuum leak on the intake to those 2 holes or you have a problem with the injectors. Maybe wiring, I've seen rodent damage do this.
A Honda Dealer forgot more than any Auto Zone knows.
