Maintenance required light comes on my 2000 honda accord?

Get a code reader or take it to a mechanic. It could be anything from an oil change to a much bigger issue.

That's nice, and my porch light comes on automatically. So, do you have a question or did you only need to randomly inform us of a situation we couldn't care less about?

The "maintenance required" light is just a light that comes on every so many miles to remind you to change the oil and do other maintenance as required by the Maintenance schedule. After you change the oil you are supposed to reset the light. It tells you how to reset it in the owners manual.

This is different from the check engine light. The check engine light requires a code reader and means you have a problem with engine that needs repair.
