My car was really hard to put in gear and when it worked their is a squealing sound when i press the clutch?
It drives and shifts fine but has this squealing when i press in the clutch. When it gets past 1500rpm the squeak stops until it drops back to 1000rpm or to 500rpm. Is the transmission shot or bad clutch? Also was some smoke rising from the engine and is a smell i'm guessing the clutch plates are constantly slipping or they are not retracting correctly when the clutch is pressed. 1994 honda accord ex my problem car.
Yes, it sounds like you need a new clutch and throw-out bearing.
Throw out bearing or pilot bearing.
- My Honda S2000 Clutch pedal thumps as I press down on it as if it gets stuck for a quick second. Why? I think it got worse, not when I try to Press all the way down on the gas on the free way to go fast, the RPMs shoot way faster and the MPH moves very very slowly? Any ideas?
- Motorcycle starter over heated starter and only the solenoid clicked so i rebuilt the starter n tested it with a battery n it worked fine? Put it back in bike and again only the solenoid clicks… Is there a fuse for the starter or a relay i may have blown? 1988 honda hurricaine 1000F i'm ready to hang it up but the bike runs so good when it runs. i ran out of gas n kept trying to start it till battery was dead and that is how it got this way. - New alternator doesn't fit or it really hard to get in to the bracket, what should I do? I have a Honda Passport 1998, and I replace the alternator for it. I did check the new one and the old one, they are just the same. The problem is when I install new one, it hard to get in to the bracket even I try to wiggle and hammer it by wooden block. Should I grind the new alternator? Or is there any good solution for it?
- Car is making a really soft hallow whistling sound, but only when idling Is this something that requires immediate attention? There's no performance issues but I'm wondering if it can snow ball into something worst. It's a 2004 honda civic 180, xxx miles
