Maintenance required light on a 2001 Honda Accord?

Before the maintenance require light stayed fully on it flashed a couple of times when I turned on the engine. Now it's fully on when I start the engine. What does it mean? I haven't changed the oil because it still a little yellow?

Car insurance cost per month? Mostly from someone with State Farm?

My family currently has State Farm and I'm getting a car because I'm a student in college, who works, and has to travel throughout the tri-county area a lot.

-I'm 19 years old
-Female
-I live in Florida
-2009 Honda Accord coupe with 55k miles and a rebuilt title
-I just drive to school, work, and training for boxing which is another county.
-I have average credit (about 600 I think)
-I have been in one accident but it has been with my mom's car earlier this year.

Yes, State Farm insures rebuilt title cars. My brother had an '07 Civic SI and State Farm insured it.

I'm going to talk to an agent, but I want to get a good estimate on how much I would be paying before I even make the decision to buy the car.

Thank you.

Added (1). I also have a 3.6 GPA for a student discount and I have maintained my safe driver status because I took a driver's course after my accident.

1997 Honda Accord Oil Leak From Timing Cover?

So last week I noticed that my car was leaking oil pretty bad. As I took a look I thought it was coming from the valve cover gasket. To ensure this, I took the car to CarX and had them look, at which point they said there was too much oil to tell where it was coming from so they had to degrease it and dye it to find out. So after this they told me drive it for a while and come back so they can trace the dye. This alone was supposed to cost me $50-$75 but there computers went down, so they couldn't charge me. I just brought it back today for them to trace the leak and they told me it was coming from behind the timing cover and it would cost me about $700 to remove the cover. May I remind you, this is only to LOOK. 700 seems kind of steep to me to still not even have the problem fixed. So please, can someone mechanically inclined give me some feedback and educated opinions on if this cost is accurate and if this sounds like it even should be a probable cause coming from a car like this? Feedback is much appreciated.

My lights won't come on in my 99 Honda Accord?

I just got this car a few weeks ago and all the interior lights did not work. Come to find out they didn't have bulbs… Well I order some and put them in and it still does not work. We'll I'm driving one night and my friend opens up the mirror and the light comes on! So only when my head lights are on is when my sun visor lights come on. But the rest of them still do not come on. Please let me know what you guys think about this.

Parking brake light won't shut off?

I bought a 2000 Honda accord in September haven't had problems with it until now. A couple of weeks ago when i was on the highway i noticed that my emergency brake light was on, even though the emergency brake was not on. I got to my sisters went in her house for about half an hr and when i got back in my car the light was off. But the next day i got in my car again and saw that the light was on again, i ignored it and went on my way. When i got to a street around the block from my house i stopped at the stop sign, my car started to shake (which it always does when i come to a stop) and it started to roll back (the street is a slight hill) i started hitting my brakes and they wouldn't work, so i pulled the emergency brake up and looked at my dashboard and all the dashboard lights were on, so i put my car in park, shut it off, started it up again and went back to my house. Everyones telling me that my car stalled. And then an hr later the brake light shut off again. After i had my brother check the car he said it was fine to drive and its been fine since. Except today i got in my car and noticed the emergency brake light came on, too afraid to drive it i took my fathers car instead. Then later i took my car around my neighborhood with the brake light still on. And it was totally fine?
I'm scared to take it on the highway tomorrow if the emergency brake light is still on. Does anyone know why it keeps coming on?

Added (1). Also both times the emergency Brake light has been stuck on it was raining out

Should I avoid a car that's spent it's life on very short trips?

I'm considering a red 1998 Honda Accord (V6) for $3500. It only has 88,000 miles on it, but essentially all those miles are EXTREMELY short trips… Most of which are under half a mile. This person lived 1/4 mile from work and drove every single day to work and back for lunch (4 trips each day). Also, the car has sat outside during the day for these fifteen years (garaged at night, tho). Now, it has barely been started for almost two years since this person died. What bugs me the most are:

1) The numerous short trips.
2) Sitting in the sun for 15 years during work.
3) Sitting for two years without being driven very much.

Could this car be a disaster?
