Trump wants to freeze gas mileage standards put in place by Obama, does that mean I will be able to find a new car without a crummy CVT?
Who wants to buy a new vehicle with a rubber band tranny? My brother was duped into buying a leftover 2018 Honda Accord with a CVT, there were no leftover Accords with a 10 speed tranny. He said the Honda salesman never mentioned the CVT, I wonder why? The salesman saw a sucker coming into the dealership from a mile away. Trump/Pence 2020.
Some people should just not post. You.
I think you are wrong. I have a Nissan Pathfinder with a CVT. It works great. When I step on the gas pedal hard and fast, the vehicle takes off like a rocket. The rest of my driving time, I'm not even aware the transmission is working.
Everything obama did was bad and needs to
Come to an end. So be sure to only vote for
Conservatives.
Trump has no effect on what auto manufacturers invent. Neither did Obama.
Obama just said gas mileage had to improve for domestic car makers to make it now or they will DIE. They know it as economical cars are being produced in Asia and Europe that out perform the domestic brands. Some of their inventions are great and others need work. Win some, lose some.
One can hope
The CVT is HERE to stay. Get used to it.
- Is it wrong to tell my 16year old daughter that she must earn a 3.0 gpa or higher if she wants a brand new car for graduation? If she gets below a 3.0 unless it is a medical or catastrophic situation then I will only buy her a used 2005 Chevy aveo. If she graduates in 2019 wit a 3.0 or higher I will buy her a new Nissan or Honda.
- Why does my car get unusually good gas mileage than normal? It's a 98 Honda Civic. I do 2 hours of Combined city and highway driving for 5-6 days a week. I kinda have a heavy foot, the rims are 1" bigger than stock and the car is due for it's next tune up this coming Monday. The car is rated at 28mpg combined when it was shiny back in 1998, and when I calculated mine i got 32 mpg combined, my calculation isn't wrong either as i have an mpg calculator
- Does the 2004 Honda Civic Lx have good gas mileage? (Read description)? It has 27 MPG City, and 34 MPG highway. I found a used one for a good price but would like to know if it's worth the buy. It's not and SUV or crossover. It's a small regular compact car, thanks.
- Am I in any place to ask for a lower car price when financing a new car? My mom is getting me my first car and she has a credit score of 660. I wanted a 2016 Honda Civic coupe and on the internet price three days ago it was $19,000 then changed to 18,000 and now it's back up to 20,000. Because of my moms credit and no down payment, would we be able to negotiate the 18,000 again? Or lower?
