What is the best car a teen can get for $14,000?

Well, I inherited a lot of money and I COULD buy a nice car, but I'm saving the majority of it and have decided to spend 11-12 thousand on a car, my dad is putting in $2,000. It is my first car and I will soon be taking my license test. I'm looking to spend 13-14 thousand total.
My parents will be paying insurance, and they do make enough money and both drive mercedes but I understand how they don't want to pay a ton for insurance.
The Things I do want in the car are not much: leather seats, AC, and a sound system that is not horrible.

I have been looking at cars like 2008-09 Acura TSX and that is the car I want the most, but my mom says it will cost a lot on insurance.
Another car I've been looking at in a 2011 Honda Accord, which I'm guessing won't cost as much to insure?

The main thing is, I want something a bit sporty, not a race car, but I don't want a 2003 honda civic if you get what I'm saying

the car should be a 2009 or 2010 model. Suggestions?

"Best" is a subjective term.

There's no one "best" vehicle for all drivers and all needs. It's up to you to do your own research for which vehicles best fit your wants and needs from a vehicle and choose accordingly. No one here knows you better than you…

Get a motorbike. A Vmax.

Look up rental car sales in your area.

2006 Camry good enough.

  • Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well
  • How can you get the best rock bottom price on a new car? I'm shopping for a 2017 Honda Pilot but car buying services like Truecar is only offering a $2000 discount. I feel like that's not very much. Would it be possible to get $4000 off? How?
  • Is a minivan a good first car for a teen? So I'm 17 and just got my license and I'm an excellent driver, according to myself and anyone who's ever rode in a car with me… My parents are going to give me their minivan which is a Honda Odyssey 2007. Not that I'm unappreciative of them giving me a car for free, but I wonder if this is safe? Since it's such a large car would it be safer to drive a sedan like a Civic or something?
  • What car is the best for a teen? My son is 16 and is looking for a car. His choices are a Honda Civic coupe, Acura Integra coupe, or a Honda CR-V. All will be a manual
