Can someone break down driving a manual car for me please?
I just bought a car a stick shift honda and i was driving pretty good, learning how to drive on a missed up clutch now that i changed my clutch every time i try to drive in first gear my car is jerking.( I hope you understand when i say that) like it wants to stall but it doesn't it'll jerk then keep going. My question is am i holding the clutch too long? Or the gas or what? I was driving good before. I know i have to break in the clutch but any tips on how i can get the hang of it quick? I do have my rpm at 1,500 or 2,000 and still jerks. I have watched videos but no video shows good foot work while driving. No insults please i'm just trying to learn how to drive a manual car properly.
You would do better looking at youtube videos… Too many steps to post
Hi so this takes time to master however you could also damage the clutch. Or more likely it was worn before you purchased the car so it is going to need replacing. And
all three parts need changing as the labour charges are the most expensive part. So to avoid further charges 2-3 months later have all three parts changed. The release bearing clutch cover plate and the clutch plate itself.
First, you don't have to break in a clutch! If you're having problems learning a manual transmission, practice backing up. The reverse gear is lower that first it will make it easier to learn.
- If I don't service my new car for first 100,000 miles will it break down? Will just do synthetic oil changes every 15,000 miles + oil filter and air filter every 30,000 miles. No other services. Will my Honda last that long without any problems?
- Why does my car engine rev up and down? It revs up and down all the way up to 3x rpm and down? Also when i step on the gas pedal it revs up all the way to the top 8x rpm and stays right there even when i let go of the gas pedal. Please anyone who can tell me why this happens? This is a 1995 honda civic by the way
- Honda Civic, Did someone try to break in or is it just a worn key hole? I've had this car for 2 years and there has always been a piece of metal that covered the inside of the hole, but recently I felt the key was going in way to easy and I looked down and it was open. The ignition is the same exact way now O.o
- Conversion from auto to manual! At the momnet my transmission is starting to give way and i figured there would be no better time to do it than now. I know i could just go buy a manual but i want to convert mine. I would like to know what parts would i need and from what cars also if any of you guys have done it before. How did you do it and what challenges did you face along with how you fixed those challenges.
