If I don't service my new car for first 100,000 miles will it break down?
Will just do synthetic oil changes every 15,000 miles + oil filter and air filter every 30,000 miles. No other services.
Will my Honda last that long without any problems?
Yip
Yes it will, but it won't last too much longer after that
The big thing you will be doing is voiding the new car warranty by not servicing on schedule.
No there isn't much else that needs to be done, At 100,000 the plugs may need to be changed and maybe a transmission service. The Rip Van Winkles commenting here are quite amusing and have not bough a NEW car for at least 20 years!
You change synthetic oil every 5,000 miles if you're smart. The cam advance actuators will have problems if you neglect to follow that oil change interval. All Honda motors have a common problem with the valves getting tight and the valve need adjusting every 60,000 miles.
If you're too lazy to get your car serviced you should be riding the bus. (And you will be, after not too long.)
That will go as planned. Add brakes and tires. Follow Honda's maintenance schedule or you void warranty.
If you follow that maintenance schedule, the engine should last for 100,000 miles + unless you fail to maintain proper oil level or overheat it. Not sure if that schedule would meet warranty standards.
- Should I buy a 2013 car with 100,000 mileage? May I ask for your advice? I found a used car registerd in 2013 at a very cheap price. The brand is excellent - we're talking about Honda, Nissan, Mercedes here. However, its mileage is 100,000. If you were in my situation, would you think it is worthwhile to buy? How long can that kind of car last?
- Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well

- Good cars over 100,000 miles? I'm looking to purchase a used car. I have a budget of $7600 and everything I'm finding is over 100,000 miles or kept in poor condition. I talked to one of my friends who is a mechanic and he told me that mileage is everything but I can't find anything low mileage in my price range. He told me to look at Toyota and Honda but I really don't like either. My question is what other cars should I be looking into purchasing?
