My cars a 1997 Honda and I was driving and it just shut off? It used to do it so I has to turn it of completely then back on. Now it won't even start.
I can't afford a new one or take it to the shop cus its to expensive and me and my family kind of got in debt from bills etc.
What could be wrong? What can I try doing to fix it?

Did you put a fuel in it? I would think that maybe your fuel filter is full of dirt or most likely fuel pump busted from what you wrote as it would just shut down but start and now it won't even start. If it is cranking when you turn the key but it doesn't start big chance it is fuel pump.
Fuel filter (very inexpensive) could be plugged and or the fuel pressure could be low.
The 12 volt battery under the hood may have shorted cells.
If the alternator was not charging properly you would have seen the "Bat, short for battery light illuminate on the dash when the engine was *running.
The alternator will not re-charge a battery with shorted cells.
- How urgent is a P0420 code on a honda odyssey if there are no symptoms? I know I have to get it fixed eventually but how much time do I realistically have before the vehicle stalls and is not drivable. Any advice or suggestions would great.
- Is urgent airbag recall a scam? I've been getting these flyers nonstop for almost 2 years. Today I called my local Honda dealer to make an appointment apparently my car has 4 recalls to be repaired. However, I was a little uneasy about it since it's a free repair and who knows what they'd do with my car. The cs representative on the phone scheduled the appointment for tomorrow at 10pm a driver will come pick up my car and said will be ready next day. is this a normal process or scam?

- My cars A/C lights stay on when car is turned completely off? I own a 1996 Honda Accord and for some reason the A/C control buttons stay lit up even when the car is completely turned off. It drains my battery so I now have to disconnect it every night. What could be causing this problem? If it's a messed up fuse where exactly is it located?
