Centrifugal clutch removal?
I'm trying to remove a clutch on a Honda clone 6.5 hp, The strange thing is that its not seized on the shaft, it turns freely, I have removed all components(drum, shoes, springs c-clips) so, I know its not just the drum spinning. I have tried a puller with no luck. What the heck is holding the remaining part on shaft? I don't see a key, I don't know if it was never installed or broke? I think if it was broken, I d feel some resistance when I spin it, but I don't. The end of shaft doesn't seem mushroomed. I hate the thought of tryng to grind it off.
There HAS to be a set screw there somewhere.
Both set screws are out, It spins freely on the shaft, Can spin it like a wheel and it takes a second to stop. But won't pull off. Also there's about 1/32" in and out play. Re-installed the backer plate and re-tried puller. Bent the plate and no movement.
- Why is my clutch pedal staying on the floor and doesn't spring back up? I have a 92 Honda Prelude Si and I just changed the clutch on it. But now my clutch pedal has no pressure, I'll press the pedal and the pedal will stay down but won't spring back up at all. I already changed the Slave Cylinder. What's going on?
- NEED GO CART CONVERTED FROM BELT CLUTCH TO CHAIN DRIVEN CLUTCH? I have a 2 seated carter go cart with a 5.5 Honda motor and is belt driven. - Hydraulic motorcycle clutch problems? I recently bought an 82 honda magna v45. The clutch level has no pressure, therefore won't engage. I tried bleeding it for almost an hour but bubbles just keep coming. Went through a whole bottle of fluid and can't build any pressure. Any idea what's wrong? Any advice will be appreciated
- How to keep my motorcycle clutch from burning out? I bought a Honda CBR500R for my first bike. I was riding over the bridge and I hit the clutch to help me get over it. I ended up getting more revs than acceleration after that. I called Cycle Center the next day and they said I had burnt out my clutch because I used it too much. Now it's going to take a week before they order the parts. I feel like riding the clutch is a habit. But I HAVE to use it to get out of parking. Any help?
