2000 Honda Civic EX Coupe: I have had a new motor recently put in my car?
However it seems that when I go certain speeds on the highway (60-70) my car vibrates. Once I pass this speed (75) then it stops vibrating as long as I drive at 75 mph. Does this mean I need a timing/alternator belt? Or due I need a tune up. I'm due my 200k service in about 6,000 miles.
Have the wheels balanced, I had a car that did the same thing. At 65-70mph it would vibrate badly but when you got up to 75 it would stop. Check the wheels and see if any of the wheel weights have fallen off.
It sounds more like a front wheel balance problem than a mechanical issue. Perhaps a wheel weight was knocked off when they pulled the wheels to change the motor.
What they said, balancing, holy cripes.
Thank you all! I hope that's it because it would be easy to fix and inexpensive!
- Why could my 2000 Honda Civic show it's going to overheat I have coolant a new radiator a new radiator cap a new temp gauge switch and? A new thermostat head gasket is fine could it just need to flushed and a new water pump and timing belt
- Sell this car or keep it? I have a 2008 honda civic with 150k miles. Recently, it had a cracked engine block? Honda honored the extended warranty and fixed this at no cost to me. I now have a brand new engine with no miles on it. Is this the start of several repairs, and should I sell it? Or should I keep this car?
- What type of transmission fits in a automatic 2000 honda accord coupe vtec v6 f23 motor? I heard either an h22 or h23 prelude transmission fits in this car but can anyone be more specific? And how much do these transmissions go for? Does The transmission have to be an automatic transmission? Are these trannys any good? What do I search for when looking for it?
- My 2000 Honda Accord overheated recently? So my car recently overheated and now when I go to turn it on it runs fine for about a minute then it starts running really rough and there's random cylinder misfires. What could it be? Is it that my head gasket is blown? Any help is appreciated!
