Do you think this is good power for a Honda Civic?
Honda is bringing out the new 2017 limited model Honda Civic Type R and it is a 2.0L DOHC, Vtec Turbocharged car producing 228 kilowatts of power, in horsepower that is 305 horsepower. 0 to 100 km/h which is 0 to 60 miles an hour is around 6 to 6.5 seconds.
For a Honda Civic is that good?
Yes that's impressive. Until you get an insurance quotation.
Let me put it this way .show me another american car that can produce more than 150bhp per litre… There again we have cars in uk .similar 2 litre that will be much faster than the civic… Mainly because they weigh less… A big factor in performance is how much bhp per tonne… I would not buy a civic type R personally… Having driven them they are ok .providing you want to scream the brains out of them… Saying that they are extremely reliable… The type R has never had a recorded engine failure through over revving it… Ear plugs should be standard
- Prius: Can someone explain the power usage meter & specific difference between power mode and Eco mode? My brother just got me a Prius to replace my old beater Honda and I'm having difficulty understanding the power usage meter (meter on dash with "Charge-Eco-Power") and the difference in the Eco & Power modes. I do understand the charge bit on the meter.
- Did you know that Philippines is so poor that if you own a car people will think you're rich? I live in the Philippines and I own a 2013 Honda Fit and I sometimes drive it when I go to the University, it's not even expensive. And my friends think I'm rich. Most people here only use underbone motorcycles for transportation, most families don't even own a car.
- When do you think the Honda Civic will get a new redesign? My lease ends in 2022 and I see the 2019 Civic looks the same as the previous years except the change in hub caps, Honda sensing, and black chrome grill but other than that its pretty much the same car. Will it look better in the future?
- I have a 2000 Honda Civic with 140,000 miles on it. Do you think the timing belt has been changed? I read somewhere that they are supposed to be changed at 105,000 miles, or seven years. My car has a lot more miles than that, and twice the age. Do you think the belt has been changed before? Or is it possible it's the original belt? Would the original have lasted this long?
