When do you think the Honda Civic will get a new redesign?
My lease ends in 2022 and I see the 2019 Civic looks the same as the previous years except the change in hub caps, Honda sensing, and black chrome grill but other than that its pretty much the same car.
Will it look better in the future?
If the recent past is any indication of the future, Honda has been slow to fully re-design the Civic. They might do a minor cosmetic "refresh" between now and the next new Civic's release, but a full platform-redesign might not happen for 7+ years from when the platform initially debuted if history is any indication.
The current Civic platform debuted in 2016. I'd be surprised a Civic based on a new chassis/platform is released before 2022 or 2023 (at the earliest) if history is any indication. Before then I'd expect Honda to release a minor cosmetic update to keep the car looking "fresh" to people who know nothing about cars, but if you're looking for a Civic that is newer mechanically than your current Civic then it's going to probably be a 3-4 year wait.
In 2024 or 2025.
- Did you know that Philippines is so poor that if you own a car people will think you're rich? I live in the Philippines and I own a 2013 Honda Fit and I sometimes drive it when I go to the University, it's not even expensive. And my friends think I'm rich. Most people here only use underbone motorcycles for transportation, most families don't even own a car.
- Do you think extended warranty is necessary on new cars? A relative just bought a $40k Honda SUV and is seriously thinking about getting a 7 year/100,000 miles power-train warranty. Do you think he should since it's just $500? Or is it just flushing money down the drain since if you can't trust a new Honda to go 100k miles who can you trust?
- Why could my 2000 Honda Civic show it's going to overheat I have coolant a new radiator a new radiator cap a new temp gauge switch and? A new thermostat head gasket is fine could it just need to flushed and a new water pump and timing belt
- People think I'm lying when I say I get over 50MPG in my new car. Why? I bought a new Honda Civic and I often get 50MPG on the highway. I actually got 57MPG on a 70 mile drive but no one believes me? This is a regular Civic and not hybrid. They all claim I'm lying. Why do they think that? Well the trip computer on the car even says 57MPG and when I calculate it manually, it's almost spot on. When I take a photo and show it, they claim it was doctored or something.
