Does a 2004 Honda Civic LX have a Torque Converter Clutch?
I have a problem with my car. There's a check engine light pointing to the TCC Solenoid. I researched the whole system and how it works and when I was replacing the transmission I do not remember seeing a clutch for the Lock up mechanism and was wondering if it does have it and where it is. If the car has it since there's a solenoid for it then I will go ahead and check the harness why it is stuck-off.
I think you are fooling yourself here with this diagnostics. Tim to get it properly checked out by a honda dealer.
What's the code? There are codes for the solenoid and codes for a speed differential when the the torque converter is supposed to be locked.
Honda had torque converter issues between 98=07 so the solenoid might be picking up the problem for the converter. Transmission shop will diagnosis for you and let you either way. Find local shop at ATRA.COM
A car with an automatic transmission has a torque converter, while a car with a manual transmission has a clutch.
It's inside the torque converter.

- P0741 - Torque Converter CKT Performance Or Stuck Off? - 1 I just bought a used 2005 Honda Pilot, about 100 000 miles, and the same day the check engine light came on. I got a code reader and I get the code: P0741 - Torque Converter CKT Performance Or Stuck Off. The car drives fine, so I can't see anything wrong other than the yellow check engine light. What would that be? What should I do?
