How long does it take to get a core charge refund for a steering rack?
I just purchased a steering rack for a 99 Honda Civic on Partsgeek.com. I was initially stunned by the $205 core charge, but apparently other online stores have similar core charges for steering racks. I was just wondering for those of you who have done this before, how long does it take to get the refund once tracking confirms they have received the old part?
Call the seller and ask THEM exactly what their policy it--it varies from seller to seller.
Usually just a few days to a week.
And if the part gets lost, you don't get your core charge refund. I don't like that arrangement at all. Once you give them the core, they should credit you with the refund on your credit card (that's one reason to use a credit card). If they lose it, it's THEIR problem. Once you give them the core, you've lost custodial responsibility and have no control over it.
Most times the delay in refunds is with your bank, not the company you are dealing with
I get my money as soon as I drop the part on the counter.
Doing things the old fashioned way does have it's advantages.
- How long does it take for a mechanic to finish my dirtbike? About 3 weeks ago I brought my dirtbike to a Honda shop to get repaired. I payed 900 to get the clutche adjusted, valve replaced, oil change, breaks change, a full time up, and pretty much everything to make the dirtbike pretty much "brand new". It's been 3 weeks since it's been in the shop going on 4, and I'm starting to get VERY impatient. I'm just wondering how long it takes to do all of this?
- How long does it take for loan max to repossess your car after your loan due date in Ohio? I took out an $800 title loan on my 2000 Honda Oddyssey (188,000 miles) and I can't make the initial repayment amount of $288 on time. How long will it be before they send someone out to repossess my car? I live in Ohio and I'm really afraid they will repossess it before I can come up with the cash.
- Does power steering fluid get hot if the car is just running and the steering isn't being used? If the pump is just spinning, recirculating fluid and nothing else… Would it still get hot? I had to bypass the pump from the rack and have the fluid recirculate. Would the pump get hot from just spinning? I know 8th gen Honda's don't have a cooler for the power steering anyways.
- My car accelerates when I brake, Can I get a full refund? I purchased a 2001 Honda Civic - 204000kms just yesterday in the province of Quebec. I bought it from a private-yet registered Dealer. A visual inspection and a test Drive was afforded to me yet that same evening and again this morning the vehicule began to accelerate when I approached a Stop sign - braking! My contract stipulates - bought as is under no gaurantee. Can I return the car for a full refund?
