Is a 2010 Honda civic a good first car? - 1

It's used and it has 44k miles. I'm 17. Is it worth getting it? It's going to cost me 9k

44,000 miles on a 5-year old car is about average for the USA. The price is actually below Kelley Blue Book average. Get it checked out by an independent mechanic. If the car is good mechanical condition, it sounds like a good buy.

Absolutely. As long as the Honda has been fully serviced and maintained you have a potential winner. Be sure the seller can provide proof of all maintenance receipts.

Their price range was around $10k so we've been looking at quite a few used cars, but none have really been that great. Today we found a used 2012 Honda Civic Coupe EX for $14.5k. It even has navigation and a sunroof. Do you think it's a good deal? And do you think it would be a good first car? Any help is really appreciated, thank you. Also the mileage on the car is 35k.
