Is a honda civic si a good first manuel car?

Ok so my parents want to buy me a $10k car because I just graduated from a military school. I've alwYs love and had a honda so I said what the heck let me get a honda civic si. I drove manuel before and have the idea of how to do it but still learning. Is it a bad idea to get it manuel if I'm just a beginner? Will it last me awhile? Is insurance going to be crazy? I'm a 20 year old who has been driving for 2 years. FEEDBACK

First of all it will last forever it's a Honda. The SI is the sport model of the civic that is made for performance. If you feel that it may be too much to handle first off try scaling down a bit. They offer the EX and LX. Depending on the year I believe the LX or EX is a 5speed 1.8 or 2 liter engine. The SI uses a 6 speed 2.2 or 2.4 liter engine.

Learn as you drive, no greater teacher than yourself. Drive slowER if you have to, they have passing lanes. If a lil more power is not that enticing to you, you can get the lower trims (ex/lx/dx etc.) in auto.

  • Is a Jeep Wrangler a good first car? Or Honda Civic? I'm a 19 year old girl and looking to purchase my first car very soon. I take my license test in about 2 1/2 weeks (late, I know) and I'm debating between the Jeep Wrangler and a Honda Civic. I'd most likely get an older Jeep Wrangler (2007-2013) and I would get a newer (2016) Honda Civic. I love both a lot but am wondering which one would be a better buy for me. Thoughts?
