Is it time for a new car battery (winter months)?
I have a honda civic 2010
had it for 2 years (so the battery is atleast 2 years old.)
the tempatures in my area range from
45F - 75F
my car is parked in the basement level of a parking garage.
my car battery dies if i don't use it after 24 hours
so is it time for a new battery given my conditions?
note: when i went home for turkey break, my car was parked outside. Dint move it for a few days. Car turned on just fine anyway.
A battery should last five years at least. Why do you think it started fine after a few days on turkey break? I would guess your battery is fine but you should make sure you do not have a power draw when the care is not being driven.
- Which car battery is better? EverStart Maxx Lead or Duralast Gold/Battery? Facts: I drive a 2007 Honda SE, 4 cylinder. Been using a Kirkland (costco battery; group size 51r) for about 5 years. Looking for a battery in case this one dies.
- I let my car sit for 3 months and the battery died. I tried to jump it but it would start? I Tried jumping my car by connecting the jumper cable plugs to it for like 1 min and few seconds… Should I keep the jumper cables in longer or do I just need to buy a new battery. I drive a honda civc 2008. *Wouldn't
- Bought a 1985 Honda inspector kid told me it needed new battery but started with jump got new battery and it was dead next day? Pretty sure its the alternator just wanted some second opinions also I got the bike for 600 dollars you guys think thats a good deal
- Is it time for a new battery? OK so I drive a 2008 Honda civic and its a great car. In October 2011, the battery died so I had it replaced. Lately, especially first thing in the morning, its taken a little bit longer to start. I remember b4 it died the first time it kinda did the same thing. I'm going to be driving it to CO from MO in a few days and will b in the mountains and everything. Should I get it checked. To me it seems like just yesterday when I got it replaced but it was 3 years ago! Time flies
