Is my car break down fast soon? I drive 2005 Honda civic ex 120 miles every weekday mostly high way?
Of 92000 mile now how long it last for along time?
I worry.
Change the oil every 5,000 miles. I use Z-Max with every oil change. I buy a bottle of it for $20 from WalMart. I only add it to my engine. I don't add it to the tranny or gas tank or anything. But, it surely is great for a motor.
When was the last time you changed the transmission fluid. You want to do that around every 50,000 miles. So it is has been a few years, then change the fluid in the tranny and also the filter.
A new air filter ever couple of years. Just make sure to check the brake fluid level and power steering fluid level every so often. Don't be afraid to pop the hood and look around. You can pop open the brake master cylinder and also the power steering fluid reservoir. Look at your tires every other day before getting in the car. You can visually see if one is getting low. It's a good habit to get into.
A battery generally lasts around 5 years before it dies. Actually, it can last 6 or 7 years depending on the brand of battery, but once it goes, it is gone and has to be replaced.
Your car can probably make it to 200,000 miles, but it will probably need a couple of things along the way. Good possibilities include alternator, water pump, brake master cylinder, air conditioning. New brake pads every 50,000? Miles. Occasionally, you can have more expensive things break such as steering components. You just have to have at least a little money saved up to take car of these expenses. Little things could end up breaking along the way. My car doesn't spray water on the windshield to clean them. The pump to fix it costs $20, and I will get around to it before too long. Lots of little things can mess up, but good luck with your car. Hondas are known for lasting a long time so drive it nice and easy and you could possibly have incredibly good luck with it. Or, something terrible could happen.
Talk to a couple of techs that work on Honda's for their opinion.
I have a 2003 Lincoln Town Car with 287k. Best car I have ever owned. Years ago, once a car hit 60k, it had to be rebuilt or replaced.
If you do the required maintenance I bet you might get 200-250k.
People who like hondas here have this thing where they think everyone should share in their missery. They will never tell you anything negative about them they are kinda like rabid obama supporters deny the facts and spread the lies. Most hondas are toast at 150k. Rural area eat them up and spit them out
Mostly
It should be, it really depends on how well you take care of it. As a general rule, Honda's are long lasting.
I drive mine exactly 126 miles per week and I take the highway to reduce travel time (sh*tload of road work here so you have to go the long way), never had a single issue because it's well maintained.
- Why does the left front wheel on my 4wheeler lock as soon as i touch the lever but the other 1 don't even hardly slow down? I have a 2007 Honda Recon 250 4wheeler and it's been doing that off and on for awhile now, i thought it might have been a low tire because it's done the exact same thing before with a low tire but my tire pressure is fine. I'm guessing something is wrong with the brake shoes but i'm not sure what to look for because i'm not very experienced in the mechanic department and i don't wanna mess something up worse than it already is Haha very funny Andrew
- If I don't service my new car for first 100,000 miles will it break down? Will just do synthetic oil changes every 15,000 miles + oil filter and air filter every 30,000 miles. No other services. Will my Honda last that long without any problems?
- Why does my car engine rev up and down? It revs up and down all the way up to 3x rpm and down? Also when i step on the gas pedal it revs up all the way to the top 8x rpm and stays right there even when i let go of the gas pedal. Please anyone who can tell me why this happens? This is a 1995 honda civic by the way
- Rear window 2001 honda civic rear windows only go down 3/4 way down? My brother just bought a 2015 honda crv and his rear windows only go down 3/4 way down. Is this the way honda makes its cars where rear windows only go down 3/ way down electric. Why do they do this? Do other car makers make cars that rear windows don't go down all the way or is it honda. Why does honda do this?
