My 1995 Honda civic 1.5L recently wouldn't start an hour after a common commute?

The fuel and air are not the problem. I'm not getting a spark. The engine cranks but will not start. I have already replaced the ignition control module and have tested the ignition coil. I don't believe it is anything to do with timing because it has no problems with skipping and such. Without replacing the entire distributer what else could be the problem?

Do some reading on these link will help to pinpoint the exact cause:

If all tests checked out good. The only thing left will be the PCM. Hope you won't have to get to this part. HTH

I'm also curious to know, could it be my pick up?

If you are checking for spark at the spark plug, try checking at the coil wire, it could be a shorted dist. Rotor.

The ICM is usually the problem, did you install a new one, and did you apply the dielectric compound to it that helps keep it cool?

If the above checks OK, all that is left is the distributor.

  • Tried to test drive a 2005 honda civic, wouldn't reverse, what's the problem? I went to test drive a 2005 Honda Civic EX coupe and when i put the stick to R, it wouldn't move. It turns out something on transmission needs to be fixed and it will cost 800-1000 dollars. The total cost would be 6000. Is it a good idea to buy?
