Small hydraulic
have you ever tryed to jack up car with those "toy" jacks

It depends on how often you will need it. If it's for emergencies only, the scissor jack will work fine. If it doesn't come with a handle, make sure you get one (try ebay). It allows you to crank it up much faster.

The proper scissor jack, Hydraulic have a tendency to leak when you most need them. Especially when it is in storage for long periods of time.

Scissor jack

Auto parts stores carry trolley jacks that would make a good replacement and they are small and easy to use.

Small hyd jack

I like a scissor jack myself… Seems to work better for me

A small hydralic jack is probably easier to use, but heavier. If you want to keep the car original get the scissor jack
