I've looked at a few civics on carmax and I've seen that they're relatively inexpensive. Most are 2-3 years old and have under 20, 000 miles and are under 18, 000. So are they good cars? None on carmax have over 100, 000 miles so are they reliable? I'm in college now and really just want something to take me from school and work, so please be unbiased in your responses.
Ok so i have a 1990 acura integra all stock and just yesterday i was driving home when a honda civic wanted a little challenge on the road so i gave it to him knowing his car sounded more upgraded and new it probably wasn't stock like mine but after that my car started making a rattling noise when i accelerate i noticed i was in fourth gear and was going about 80mph and it just wouldn't go hire than that and i was flooring it i wanted to see it go a little hire before i put it i'm 5th but it wouldn't iknow i did treat my little old stock car bad yesterday but now i need to know exactly what that problem is its my daily driver any help would be appreciated thanks! The rattling seems to come from the bac of the engine sounds like in the bottom not exactly sure were its coming from!
So i'm saving up money to buy a decent used car. My sister is selling her 06 honda civic with 130k miles on it for 4200. Is this a good price/ good buy? She had to have the motor replaced at like 20k but i think that was faulty with a lot of the 06s. I know she maintains it very well. I'm just scared because i don't want to buy one then have it kick the can in a year because i'm a poor college student. Haha Thanks!

Why can't I insert key into ignition on 2005 Honda Civic?
Added (1). Battery died, had it jumped. Couldn't insert key into ignition. After some time was able to, started car ok, removed key, locked out of ignition again. I know sometimes disconnecting battery will mess up a Honda computers things/radios. Trying to solve before a tow to the dealer. This car also has an AM security. Just owned a week. Left the AM security FOB in the house so no conflict but it may be too late. Can't recall steps taken to get it started yesterday at least once.
2002 Honda civic with 126,000 miles.
It's time to finally replace my front struts. I'm buying OEM struts online but do I buy a right & left strut? Or are they both the same/interchangeable?
My car has had some overheating problems in the past, the radiator, thermostat, fan relay and sensor have all been replaced. It's cold now, and I had been having problems with my heat not running correctly. It would go cold when my car would idle. Today was doing some highway driving, and the gauge kept getting close to hot and then going back down. Is this a heater issue? Or something else underlying?
I already fixed and replaced the following:
Spark plugs
Oil change
Wheel alignment / chamber fix (what is this?)
New tires
This is a hatchback and the car is very fast in automatic. How could I figure this out?
Car actually runs fairly good but I see the misfire come on while driving
I checked compression, seems fine all cylinders
new plugs, new air filter, cleaned throttle assembly
checked by pulling spark plugs one time no dead cylinder
gross check on injectors didn't see anything
two cans of injector cleaner
1 can seafoam in gas tank
changed oil
any good suggestions?
