1998 Honda Civic Keyless Entry/Radio Issues?

I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX coupe. I had an after market radio installed when I got the car and had no problems with it. About a year ago I upgraded my after market radio to a Kenwood KDC-152. My radio started going into "Protect" mode. I was able to do a hard reset and it started working. But now it remains in protect mode.M y keyless entry happened to go out shortly around the same time I started having radio issues. My original Honda radio is dropped down in my dash so I could keep my keyless entry. So I figured something happened to that, but it is still working and is still fine. So I checked my fuses which none of them were blown. I pulled the radio out and all the wiring is still intact and looks good. I tried to reprogram my keyless entry. I did the cycle of the locks and it was clicking in the doors, but nothing. The remote works and it still beeps like it should be unlocking but the doors don't lock or unlock. The interesting thing is that my check engine light came on around the time my doors and radio stopped working. My mechanic checked it but couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, and informed me that my distributor cap needed replacing. So do to not having money the check engine light has remained on. Until today when I tried to reprogram my keyless entry remote. During the clicking of the remote the check engine light went off. So my question… Has anyone heard of this and what can I do to fix it and what is the problem? I really miss listening to music.

Do I need to upgrade my car battery?

I have a stock battery and alternator in my 2005 Honda civic and when my engine is running my amp is fine and doesn't go into protection mode but the voltage on my battery goes from 14.2 to 12.9 at the absolute lowest. But when my engine isn't on my amp can only play for a certain time (at most 10 seconds) before going into protection mode. It seems like it can't pull enough power from the battery. Oh and BTW my amp is 600 watts rms and I have one sub doing 600 watts rms at 2 ohms

2014 honda civic won't stop beeping in accessory mode?

I was in the drive in theater with my cousin sister and boyfriend and I tried to get the accessory mode on the car started so I can just hear the radio without turning the engine on. My car is push to start. But when I had it on accessory mode it kept beeping! And I read the owners manual, it said to turn the accessory mode on and press and release the valet 3 times but what the heck is the valet! I looked that up in the owners manual and it said it is the key! So I pressed it and sometimes it would still beep and sometimes it didn't! I don't know exactly what to do to keep it on accessory mode without having to hear those annoying beeps!

Honda civic vs Toyota Camry?

I'm saving up for a car and I have about 600 so far. I'm only a junior but I plan to have atleast 5000 saved up by the end of my junior year if I work a lot. I want to get a car for about 3-3500 and I've heard civics and camrys are reliable and good with gas. I either want a 2003 civic or 2002 Camry, which one is better? And is there anyway I could get one for under 4000?

I won a new car! Now what?

Ok so my local Honda dealer contacted me about a sweepstakes they were having and I always enter them because they give out gift cards but the grand prize is a new car. Sometimes I win the cards sometimes I don't. But I won the grand prize yesterday. It's a 2014 Honda Civic LX completely free. I obviously want to keep the car as it's better than my current one but my current car is financed and I've only had it 9 months. I don't know anybody who needs a car either. I could have two cars but it feels wrong haha. What should I do with my financed one? Can I have someone take over my payments?

04 civic EX sedan. Can't find this part on any Honda parts website?

I can't seem to find this small, elbow-shaped metal pipe on any honda parts website. I have "squared it off" in red so it's easier to see. There's now coolant leaking from the base of this small pipe. The Idle Air Control Valve on the throttle body has a coolant line that runs from there and attaches to this piece. Anybody have an idea?04 civic EX sedan. Cannot find this part on any Honda parts website - 1
