Prestone coolant says it works with any make and model car. Even if it uses red or green coolant?

Can I mix prestone coolant with current coolant that is in my car that is geen in color type 2? 2001 honda civic lx car. I'm low on coolant and need to add coolant.

Nope. Read this post

Put the coolant recommended in the manual. Most cars now take ethylene-glycol based coolant.

According to the manufacturers of 'universal' coolant, you can mix it with any coolant.
According to the manufacturers of cars, you shouldn't use it at all. I recommend using the type the vehicle manufacturer says to use.

I agree with the others. Do not mix coolant types. When is the last time you did a coolant flush? Do you have a leak?
What area of the country are you in? If you are in a warmer area, like TN, GA, FL, TX, etc, then just top it off with distilled water and then within say 14 days do a full flush and put spec coolant in there. You can buy it at the Honda dealer, or Zerex Asian coolant may be OK. Check the specs for yourself.
A full flush IS NOT a drain and fill done by the quick change places. Drain, fill with water, run vehicle, heat on high, cabin fan on medium, after heat comes out of vents slowly raise and lower RPM to 2500 a few times. Turn engine off, let vehicle cool. Never open any radiator cop when vehicle is hot, that is very dangerous. Or better option find a shop that will do this.
Fill with distilled water, repeat process. This probably good enough, but if water is still coming out dirty then you have some gunk in the system, and may need to repeat this process or run a cleaner though it.
Once clean, put in an amount equal to Capacity/2, probably 1 gallon, then top off with distilled water.
If you need to top off in future use the exact same brand and type of coolant.

Zerex Asian Vehicle has been designed to meet the requirements of Asian manufacturers requiring a red silicate free HOAT formula with a phosphate additive to protect their cooling systems from rust and corrosion.

Don't mix colors, that would be foolish

Where's the leak? Coolant shouldn't be getting used up. Have the cooling system pressure tested. If you haven't changed the antifreeze in 3 years you need to drain and fill or flush the system anyway so I would just change over to green antifreeze. Antifreeze becomes acidic over time and will eat the insides of the heater core, radiator, and intake manifold.

Avoid universal anything. Green coolant is the cheapest and most readily available coolant. No need to gamble.
