According to manual use Honda MTF, ATF fluids (Z1 or DW-1), but you may also use DEXRON III temporarily if Honda fluids are not available.
As Happy Gramps says, Honda. And only Honda fluid. Anything else would be disastrous.
Honda only fluid is a lie… I use maxlife for hondas in mine and have 267k miles on my transmission. Still runs like a champ
