250
$150 at the dealer. $50 DIY.
Hi so how long is a piece of string.
Depending on the labor cost where you live and what parts besides the brake shoes need replacing, it could range from about $200 to $600. On an old car that has been neglected, I'd plan toward the high side of that range. If you were a real man and had the tools, skills and knowledge to do it yourself, it would cost between $60 and $100 for parts.
If that year has rear disc brakes around $200
I believe a 2000 had drum brakes. In the drums can be turned under $200 if not its about the same. I would just buy all new. I just did an 89 wagovan and was around $150 new drums and shoes.
To replace the pads at a shop? About 200 to 250$

- What would be a reasonable amount to offer below the sticker price of a Honda Civic sedan? In other words, if the sticker price is $21,000, what is the LEAST the dealer would be likely to accept?
- What is the average price of a synthetic oil change? I have a 2014 honda accord LX. What is the typical price for an oil change with synthetic oil? I wanna know typical prices in case i get a weird number from the mechanic.
- Is $450 a great price to replace a rear main seal on an old 2000 Honda Accord? The dealer wants $1,400 for labor because they say it's an 11 hour job & they charge $125 per hour. But a local shop said they will do it for $450. My everyday mechanic wants $1,000. It's a lot of work because they have to drop the tranny. But for a 2000 accord with 150k miles which price point would you go with paying?
