What's the best oil to get for my Honda Civic lx 2001?
I need an oil change and happen to know nothing about cars but I'm trying to start learning and gunna try an oil change by myself with help, but I need to know what oil to buy I live in a desert, I don't care about anything else than keeping the engine working good so what oil should I buy?
5w-30 is a pretty standard oil for the year of your car.
5W-20 is the recommended oil. That's what the engine was designed for.
15 years old? Don't waste money on expensive stuff. Just change it on time
- What's the best price I should get a honda civic at year 96-00? I want to get a honda civic from 1996 to 2000 it will be stick shift and the miles will be around 170,000 I see people asking more for the civic compared to kellybluebook? Is that normal?
- Should i get a 2005 hyundai tiburon gt or a 2001 honda civic ex? I'm debating whether getting the 2005 tiburon which looks better with red, but has 133k miles on it. Or the 2001 civic with 90k miles on it. Both are coupes, have leather seats and moon roof. Both are around 6k cost. both are in great condition and which is better for resale
- Will a oil pressure sensor cause a 1999 honda civic not to crank if oil is low? While I was driving I noticed it wouldn't go any faster while I was going about 60mph but I felt the transmission spinning and the revs were high I then pulled over and put the car in Park and noticed the engine wasn't on Or Is it seized?
- Oil Change: Honda Motor Oil Vs Generic oil, does it make a difference? I have been getting oil changes with Honda motor oil for 15 years on my 2002 civic that now has 132K miles. If I switch to a generic $10 oil change garage shop will it still be ok? I know the Honda filters are better then the cheapest generic ones but how about the actual motor oil?
