What type of exhaust gasket should I use when fitting new exhaust?
I would like to install new exhaust system on my car and was wondering if I use the flat oval shape gasket or round conical gasket or both? I'll be installing a backbox and centre pipe. It's a 1998 Honda Civic.
You use the type(s) that are fitted already. The exhaust shop will sell you the correct items
Use both gaskets just to make sure it seals up properly.
- Motorcycle exhaust gasket need replaced? I just put anew aftermarket exhaust on my 2004 Honda Shadow Aero 750 (vt750c) I replaced the exhaust gaskets. I have rode it twice since and noticed a leak where the front exhaust bolts to the head. The question is when I take the exhaust back off and put it back on to try and fix the leak will the new gasket still be good or should I replace it?

- If in the owners manual it says I should use 5W-20 motor oil, can I use 10W-40 motor oil instead? I have a 2009 Honda Fit. I just recently bought 10W-40 and when I got home to put oil in the manual said 5W-20. What's the difference? And is it okay if I still use the 10W-40?
- Which gas grade should I use for my new CRV? I got my new 2014 Honda crv, which gas grade should I use currently, 87 or 89? The user manual says use 87 or higher. I'm thinking maybe I should use 89 during break-in period? I feel i'm a little overconcerned? Manual Fuel recommendation: Unleaded gasoline with a pump octane number 87 or higher required
