When did Honda stop making their easy to steal Models?

I'm looking at and choosing between a 2003 Honda Civic 2 door coupe with 150k, and a 2002 Toyota Celica with 169k. I know most people would go for the Civic, but I don't want to end up as one of those people who loses their car due to an easy break in. So please, should I invest in the Civic or move on to getting something else.

Any car can be stolen, not necessarily Asian made cars. My friends had their Chevy Trailblazer, Chevy Silverado, and BMW 328i stolen. Professionals are capable of stealing Porsches and other high end marks

The reason Civics (or Hondas in general) are the most stolen is because burglars know that Civics are in demand cars, and they know that their parts are in demand as well since one part can fit into most Honda vehicles. They can easily make money out of them. Burglars rarely steal sh*tboxes like Dodge Neons.

If you want your car to be safe, have an engine immobilizer installed or better yet buy a car that already has one installed. That's what I did to mine, it prevents the engine from starting if the chip installed into the key isn't detected and it makes the car immune to hot wiring. You can also have an aftermarket alarm installed.
A cheaper alternative is a 4 hook steering wheel lock (a.k.a the club). And if you live in a good neighborhood, I wouldn't worry that much.

They never stopped. Almost all Asian-made cars are easy to break into, hotwire, and steal.
