Is the HONDA CR-V a good camping car?

I love camping.

The Honda CRV is like the Toyota RAV. The small SUV is built on a car frame. Therefore, there's not high clearance. If you are willing to accept low-clearance, then you can purchase a more efficient vehicle. I drove a 2007 Prius for 80,000 miles. I now own a 2013 Chevy Volt with 30,000 miles. The Prius got 50 MPG; the Volt gets 85 MPG. Both vehicles have adequate cargo space for my camping and backpacking needs and can get close enough to wilderness trailheads on most Forest Service roads. I use Michelin X-Ice tires for winter traction. I have never slid off any roads. I camp and hike probably as much as the top 1% of outdoor enthusiasts in rugged mountainous conditions.

If you use campgrounds.

Any car that gets you to where you want to camp is a good camping car.
