Why won't my 2011 Honda CR-V start?

I just bought a used and certified 2011 Honda CR-V from a Honda dealer. Once we got home we left the car in the driveway for about an hour. I went to go turn the car around in the driveway and it would not start? My mom thinks she left the lights on maybe but would a hour of leaving your lights on really drain the battery all the way dead? Whenever I tried to start it, it would just make a clicking sound and not start at all. What's wrong with the car?!

(My mom test drove it and she liked it, then I drove it around, and then she drove it home. The car started all three times perfectly).

Weak battery. Have it checked. Jump start it and go to the car part store where they do that free.

Certified used
dead battery

Was your foot on the break while turning the key?
Thats my first guess. Could be a hundred other things after that…

Bc honda's suck bro.

I do not own a Honda CR-V but since it's a 2011 model, the headlight should turn off as the technology has been improved and use in so many models. It could be a bad battery. Have it test out.

Have the car battery recharge and test the charging system out. If you have the car jump start then when the car is running: Any light lit on the dash cluster?

If the car jump start and it still clicking: Recheck the battery cable terminals for corrosion or tightening it up. It could be the starter solenoid has failed. The starter then has to be bench test and replace if needed.

  • Why won't my Honda Goldwing start? I've got the key in the ignition, the bike in nueteral, the lights come on, but when I press the starter button nothing happens.
  • My 1983 Honda nighthawk 650 won't start with the electric start? I recently replaced the ignition coils because the old ones were getting heat soaked and the bike would die, however now the bike won't start with the electric start it turns over fin and the starter sounds fine but it won't start occasionally it ll start when it's cold or try to but I've been having to bump start it in order to ride it. So what's making it do this? Could it be the kill switch? Or something else?
  • I have a Honda HRX217 push mower. Backfired when trying to start it, now it won't start? It was running, then I shut it off to open and close a gate, and when I went to start it again there was a really loud backfire and now it won't start. It will sound like it's almost about to start but not. Then get progressively weaker each pull. I changed the spark plug and cleaned the air filter. Any ideas?
  • I have a Honda Harmony HRB215 K4 SDA that won't pull start but if I take off the recoil and drill start it, it runs perfect? I have a Honda Harmony HRB215 K4 SDA that won't pull start but if I take off the recoil and drill start it, it runs perfect. I did a compressin test, the pull start only gets the mower to 60psi but the drill gets the mower to 150psi. This mower does have a decompression vale where the ehaust opest about 1/8 of the way. I tore the ead off and checked and cleaned the valves. They don't stick open. Could there be an issue with the decompression valve? Or would it be the piston rings?
