Are honda fits reliable?

I want a honda fit as a commuter car, but i'm wondering how reliable they are, i know honda has a reputation for having really reliable 4 cyl motors, but how reliable are they? I'm looking to get about 250k miles out of it. (Don't recommend me any other car just answer the question)

Do I need to cut out part of the rear bar to fit a tow bar to a 2004 Honda Accord Euro?

I'm looking into buying a second hand Honda Accord Euro from the 2003 - 2006 year range (most likely 2004) but will want to install a tow bar as not many come with them.

Does installation require cutting out part of the rear bar (removing the bumper then cutting out part of the metal rear bar) and then welding the new one in place? Or does it simply bolt on in a few places and then you have to cut out of the bumper for the actual tow bar to stick out of?

If I could get one done a bit cheaper than what Honda generally quote I d be stoked… Thanks!

Did i over rev my engine?

Its a 2012 honda fit, i was trying to get on the freeway from a dead stop, with no shoulder in about 30 feet, so i had to use the limited shoulder to get speed up, so i put my car in "sport" mode, and floored it from a dead stop, i watched the rpm guage go from a little under 1, to 5 in a few secs, but then i was at 40 with no one behind me so i let off the gas a little but the car was still at about 5,500 rpms, then i saw a car switch from the middle to slow lane going the speed limit so i needed to go faster so i gave it about 3/4 throttle and the rpm guage went like 500 rpms into the red zone, luckly i saw and let off the gas, so it was only there for about a second. Did this damage it? There are no strange noises or anything

Honda CB550 Super Sport

Long story short, I recently bought a beautiful 1976 Honda 550 Super Sport, and am trying to fully restore it. The bike seems to be in great condition as far as the frame an parts go, but it is not running (Consistently) yet. The engine turns over, and I have been able to get it running via push start (but the bike only got into 3rd gear and had little power). I would like to get this thing running well, but am new to the motorcycle scene and need some help!

Background info: This bike has been sitting for quite a few years and has never been rebuilt. The odometer reads 19000 miles. I have cleaned the carburetors, replaced the fuel filters, purchased a new battery, and replaced the starter, but the bike still is not running well. I also bought new spark plugs, but have not been able to replace all of four of them yet because I don't have a socket that will fit into the two middle spark plug wells.
*no tuning has been done yet.

Finally, the bike has four cylinders, and I noticed that when finally I did get the bike idling for a minute or two, the exhaust pipe on only one of the cylinders (far right) became hot, and the other three remained cool. Is this normal for a four cylinder engine? Or is the bike currently running on just one cylinder?

Clutch has no resistance, feels broken?

Very strange, I started up my 07 Honda Fit and noticed out of nowhere the clutch had a hard time shifting gears… The car's clutch previous to that had actually been stronger than most cars I've ridden in. Then, after not driving it for some time after that, I get in and start it up again… But the clutch falls flat onto the floor almost like the pedal is broken or something, completely unable to put it into gear. My main two questions are, what could be wrong and approx what would it cost a 'backyard mechanic' to fix each possibility?

Do you think if they call a car a Sport model it should go fast?

I remember when I think the Honda Fit/Jazz was called the "Sport model" and it got criticised for having soft suspension.

These days "Sport" is used in most cars is used on the one with the most features and not fast cars very much. Should the ones with the most features be calling something else rather than sports?
