Honda bf5 1997 oil light alwasy on is that normal?
I have a bought secondhand Honda bf5 1997. No book or anything, when engine running oil light is stays on which is the green. It that normal? Regards. 
Absolutely not normal.
Could be a defective oil sensor, but don't take the chance.
Do not run the engine until you find out the problem and repair it.
Hard to believe Honda has ever made an engine without there being an owners manual online. Oh well… Guess it's too much trouble to look… Since you don't care enough to look, why should anyone else?
- Check engine light, open door light, and batterie light all came on and won't go off? 2000 Honda Odyssey I already had the altinator replaced it a month old. The batterie almost a year old. Would the belt need be changed or something else?
- Oil Change: Honda Motor Oil Vs Generic oil, does it make a difference? I have been getting oil changes with Honda motor oil for 15 years on my 2002 civic that now has 132K miles. If I switch to a generic $10 oil change garage shop will it still be ok? I know the Honda filters are better then the cheapest generic ones but how about the actual motor oil?
